Friendship Manor & Lots of Zone Work

Hey Friends and Family!

This week's main basis has been zone work. As far as things going on outside of British Services, there are few things to note. However, on Monday we were able to go help run a Family History workshop over at the assisted living center called Friendship Manor. The main reason they wanted us specifically to go, was that my companion speaks decent Spanish and Portuguese. They had a an Argentinian sister there who understood English, but could only speak Spanish. I was able to help another sister transfer information from Legacy Family Tree over into Familysearch. So, that made for an interesting night.

British Services in full truthfulness is a very slow zone. However, considering we spent the vast majority of the week there, we've been able to help many patrons with research. A lot of what we've been helping with has been record navigation. However, earlier in the week we were able to help a couple from Australia really get their tree to grow. They were very new to genealogy, but we were able to get them pretty far back.

That's pretty much it. zone work, FH workshop, and then more zone work. It really was a good and successful week, just a lot of the same type of stuff as far as the week goes.

I hope you all have an amazing week, and I'll write you all in the next one.

from,
Elder Hall
