Full Hall Dinner, Mission Conference & Packing Pasta

Hey Friends and Family!
I hope all of you are doing well.

Last Sunday, we had the opportunity to have dinner with what we thought was going to be with an older Senior Couple. However, apparently other planning had been going on. So when we arrived at the hallway that their apartment was on, it was packed. There were long tables along the wall filled with food, and the entire hallway of people were in attendance, around 24 total. The food was really good. There was also some food provided from a member of the local ward there, who is a cook by trade, that was incredibly delicious. It was a fun evening, and it was really good to visit with the people from that hallway.

On Wednesday morning we attended a Mission Conference put on by our Mission President. Normally for these particular types of Mission Conferences, only Senior Missionaries and Service Missionaries attend. However, our Mission President really wanted all of us to attend this one. It was a very good talk given by him on the doctrine of Spiritual Rebirth, that was very interesting.

Last night, we had the opportunity to do some service over at the Utah Food Bank. We had about 30 of us Elder's show up, and we got to work on the their reprocessing program. Basically, the church donates to them 25 pound boxes of pasta. However, 25 pounds being too big to hand out to individual people, it was our job to unpack them and repack them into 4.25 pound bags. We were able to get a lot of work done, and it was a great experience to render that service.

That is it for this week! I'll write you all in the next one!

From,
Elder Hall
