Hey Friends and Family!

I hope things are going well for all of you! Things have been interesting up here. A lot of it has been kind of routine. But, it's been interrupted by occasions of interest.

For the rest of last week, things were actually really busy. The conference mentioned in my last letter was still in town until Saturday. Which as usual, is accompanied by a lot of the workstations being taken up. The business finally died off around 6:30 on Saturday night.

On Sunday, our district was assigned to help with passing the sacrament. We were sitting in our seats for about five minutes. After which we see President Oaks of the First Presidency walk onto the stand. For those of you who don't know, President Oaks makes it a practice each Sunday when not on assignment to pray about where to go and attend one of the local congregations. So, that was our privilege last Sunday. He spoke a little bit towards the end of the meeting and also attended a portion of each of the 2nd hour meetings. It was a pretty fun Sunday. It was pretty funny to see my fellow district members face when he realized he was going to be passing the sacrament to President Oaks. Also, it was pretty funny to see our friend Elder Shaw's reaction (who was teaching) when he walked into our Sunday School. It was a lot of fun, and President Oaks is a really funny guy.

We were planning on having a devotional with Elder Hamilton of the Seventy on Tuesday. He has recently been assigned as the new Family History Department Executive Director. However, it's been postponed till next Tuesday. As such, our Monday Morning Devotionals for this week and the next have been canceled. It should be a really good experience though come next Tuesday.

On Monday, we had our monthly Book of Mormon Class taught by President Fenn. This one was on 3 Nephi 28. We particularly focused on what we know about translated beings from that chapter. As well as 4 Nephi. More particularly on how to make or break a Zion society. There was an interesting thing he pointed out. In order to talk about how to create or destroy a Zion society he told us to focus on the phrase "and there was no contention". It's mentioned multiple times in the chapter and each time is associated with an attribute(s) that make up Zion. With it being an attribute itself. Point being, that Zion hinges around a lack of contention, which generally hinges on anger. That in order to make a society of God, we need to learn to work with each other, rather than contend.

This week itself, has actually been pretty slow. We get spurts of business throughout the day. But, overall it's been pretty quite. Yesterday, I was asked a lot to help with the Scan Pro 3000's though. I think it was almost once an hour someone needed to be taught on how to work the machines. So, that kept things a bit interesting. There's also been a surprising increase in the amount of people who want to use our CD Databases lately for some reason. Typically the CD programs run on DOS. Which we have quite a few of. It's just been pretty shocking that people are wanting to use them so much. It's been good though and a little funny finding out how many missionaries don't know how to use them.

That's pretty much it for this week. I hope you all have a good one and I'll write you next week!

From,
Elder Hall
