Classes, Fireside, Welfare Square, and Extended Hours

Dear friends and family,

Man, the weeks are just seeming to fly by. It seems like yesterday that I was back at this computer righting an email last week. I guess keeping busy lets the days kind of flow together. All busyness aside, things have been good up here. School must have gotten out because Discovery is increasing in numbers exponentially. I believe it's tomorrow though where things are really going to take off. With the amount of groups we have scheduled alone, we're maxing out the number of I-pads we have available. So, that's going to be a lot of fun.

On the topic of zone, the Family History library finally began their extended hours this week. We're now open on Sunday from one to five in the afternoon. Luckily our Zone Leaders have it set up where each companionship will only have to work once a month. Just something to keep in mind though, it's only the main floor that's open on Sundays. We actually got pretty good numbers last Sunday. We have an estimate that around 101 guests came in during that four hour period. We're also now open on Mondays all the way till 9:00 pm. The hope is that by the end of the month we'll have that evening shift in the hands of volunteers and ward and stake family history consultants. So we've already worked one, and we should only have to work one more. So, busy times. I honestly think it's a good thing and we're having a lot of fun with it too.

So as you can see, things are just moving along up here. Last night we helped over at Welfare Square putting together a lot of cleaning kits. They were actually running drastically low and weren't that prepared for today. So, we managed to get 5 pallets of empty tubs worth of cleaning kits compiled. It was a lot of fun and felt great to help out.

So, that's pretty much it for this week! Write you all in the next one!

From,
Elder Hall
