Zone, Brokdale and Food Pantry

Hey Friends and Family!

This week has been pretty varied in how busy Zone is. It's been slow one day, then fast the next, then slow again and so on. However, things are running smoothly and we're all getting pretty excited for RootsTech.

This week has been interesting. Zone has been excellent. There's been a decent amount of Patrons over all, and it's been moving along swell. Honestly, a lot of my mental focus has been on the District Leader side of things. The new District I'm over is a whole other ball game from the last one. Totally different types of people, different living accommodations, and different skill sets. It's really been interesting. It's been a little mentally taxing. However, things have been going along well, and I can very easily recognize that there's been some God sent energy boosts given.

On Sunday we had the opportunity to go to Brookdale Assisted Living and help with the worship services there. My Companion and I were over the Blessing of the main Sacrament Meeting and helping set up that, as well as the Invocation and Benediction. My Companion was also one of the drivers.

On Sunday Evening. We decided that we were going to visit the Conference Center, to see the updated decor, and to show my Companion the various things that were there. It was a lot of fun, and hey, President Nelson's portrait is finally up. It's a bit different from the others. He has the scriptures open to page 430 in the Book of Mormon. thought is was very interesting to read, and really sent a message. They also actually let us up on to the roof for a little bit. It was pretty early in the season to do so. But, they could give us a little access.

On Tuesday, us along with ten other Elders went up to the Bountiful Food Pantry and helped with their warehouse there. I was one of the drivers, and rush hour interstate traffic in the snow was a little nerve wracking. However, we get there alright and it really was a wonderful experience.

That's pretty much the week. Brookdale, Food Pantry, and a whole lot of Zone. We've also been working on getting our new District Members up to speed on the training, and one of them has already gotten his lanyard.

Write you all next week!
From, Spencer
