Week 8

Hey Friends and Family!

This week has been pretty straightforward as far as weeks go. The Discovery Center has been getting pretty busy of late and that's a good thing. There's always so many different types of people from different walks of life that I get to meet while working here, and it's really a lot of fun.

Of things of note, on Saturday night a bunch of the other Elders and I went to the Salt Lake Stake Center field and where able to play ultimate frisbee for a bit. It was quite a bit of fun, and we even had some of the people from the surrounding neighborhood hop in and play with us.

On Sunday night we were able to hear from some former Zone Leaders in the mission and hear about a Book of Mormon pageant they put on for many years on their property. They even showed us some video footage of the event which was really cool.

In answer to your question Mom, yes I do get to bear my testimony a lot, and not just about family history. In fact, as of yesterday I've placed 5 Book(s) of Mormon(s) since being on the mission. It really is quite a bit of fun to do so.

Beside's what's in the general letter, it's pretty much been putting the hand to the plow in the Discovery Center. One thing that's been really cool this week is the amount of food we've eaten. We went to the food court on Thursday for lunch, and a very nice lady approached us and asked to pay for our lunch and gave us a twenty. It was really cool. It was also really awesome to visit with her. She actually had a son who just returned from his mission a few weeks ago, and she had a deep appreciation for missionaries. Last night we were having dinner as a district at the other apartment in our district, Breakfast for dinner, go figure. When it eventually turned into a bit of a party. We had Elder's showing up at the door with different items of food. It was a lot of fun to eat some good food and chat with the other missionaries.

Till next week!
