Week 7

Hey family and friends!

This week at the Family History Library has been very busy. We've had massive floods of people pouring into the building. On Thursday we had hundreds of people on the Discovery floor. Ipads were all checked out and computers were all taken. Also on Saturday we had every single floor full. Meaning there were not enough missionaries and staff to talk to everybody, and that meant that all the excess was sent to our floor. However, it has been surprisingly manageable. We've been able to keep things moving quite smoothly considering the crowds, and people were able to be taken care of.

On the Fourth of July the Library was closed, so we went on a hike instead. We went from the Garden Apartments up the hill to the State Capitol. We were able to go through the building and I was finally able to see my 3rd Great Grandfather's statue up close. Let me introduce you to James Colgrave Owen.

When we got back we were also able to watch the BYUtv movie "Instrument of War". It was quite an interesting story and very inspiring.

On Saturday night 5 other Elders and I went down to the Salt Lake Stake Center and played a couple hours of Ultimate Frisbee, ..... in a 100 degree weather. It was still a lot of fun. We were all exhausted by the end, and we all felt good.

That was pretty much it for the week. Till the next one!
